The PDA has heard from members that some like to read the electronic version, and so the PDA is now sharing this with members. PDA Members are also encouraged to share this with their colleagues.

PDA becomes a supporter of Health Equals

As of 16 January 2026, the PDA has become an official supporter of Health Equals, which is a coalition of over 100 organisations that want to make a positive difference to UK society’s health and wellbeing.

Two diverging paths for community pharmacy: What do they mean for our practice, patients, and profession?

Two recent developments pull community pharmacy in very different directions. One proposes facilitated self-selection of P medicines; the other changes the law so ‘checked and bagged’ prescriptions may be handed out while the pharmacist is absent. Both are promoted as freeing pharmacists’ time, but do they safeguard patients, uphold professional accountability, and strengthen pharmacists’ clinical role, or do they risk retail drift?

PDA LGBT+ Network responds to NHS consultation on Children and Young People’s Gender Service Specification

A recent NHS consultation asked for views on proposed changes to the service specification for specialist gender incongruence services for children and young people, which describes how current and future providers of NHS Children and Young People’s Gender Services will deliver the service.

How safe is your workplace? PDA invites pharmacists to take part in the 2026 Safer Pharmacies Survey

With the disturbing rise in violence, theft, and physical assault directed at pharmacy teams across the UK, the PDA is launching its ninth Safer Pharmacies Survey and is encouraging all employed and locum pharmacists to take part.

Medicines To Gaza student and trainee challenge launched by PDA

The PDA has today launched the ‘Medicines To Gaza’ Challenge, inviting pharmacy students and trainee pharmacists to design and deliver their own local initiative to raise awareness and funds for ‘Medicines To Gaza’. This challenge will contribute to the humanitarian project to provide essential medicines and medical aid to those affected by the crisis in Gaza.

PDA Equalities Council celebrates 2025’s successes and plans to stand up against discrimination
